McDonagh Cleaning LLC

Effective Date: September 29, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern residential cleaning and related services provided by McDonagh Cleaning LLC (\"McDonagh Cleaning,\" \"we,\" \"us,\" or \"our\") to the client requesting or receiving services (\"Client\" or \"you\"). By approving a quote, paying a deposit, booking or continuing recurring service, authorizing payment, or permitting service to begin, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. The approved quote identifies the specific scope and price for a job. If a specific quote conflicts with these terms, the quote controls for that job.

1 Services and Scope

We provide residential cleaning and related services described in an approved quote, including regular cleaning, deep cleaning, post-renovation cleaning, very soiled home cleaning, and agreed add-ons or custom projects. Only the tasks listed or reasonably included in the approved scope are included. Interior oven and refrigerator cleaning, organization, laundry, rubbish removal, and similar add-ons are excluded unless specifically listed in the quote. Services may be performed by one or more cleaning professionals, and we cannot guarantee the same professional for every visit.

2 Quotes and Property Conditions

Quotes are based on information, photographs, video walkthroughs, or assessments provided before service. If the size, number of rooms or bathrooms, level of soiling, clutter, access, or other conditions are materially different from what was disclosed, we may pause work and offer a revised scope, additional time, or an adjusted price. We will obtain your approval before performing work that carries an additional charge. If the revised work is declined or cannot be performed safely, we may limit or discontinue the service. Cleaning results depend on the age, condition, finish, and prior care of surfaces; permanent staining, discoloration, deterioration, and pre-existing damage may not be correctable through cleaning.

3 Booking Scheduling and Access

A request or assessment is not a confirmed appointment until we send confirmation through Jobber, email, text message, or another agreed method. Scheduled arrival times are estimates, and we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of a significant delay. You must provide safe and timely access to the property, along with working electricity, running water, and any building access or parking instructions needed to perform the service. Keys, entry codes, lockboxes, and alarm instructions must be provided in advance when applicable.

4 Deposits Cancellations Rescheduling and Lockouts

Unless the quote states otherwise, a $50 deposit is required to reserve an appointment. The deposit is applied to the final service total. Deposits are non-refundable when the Client cancels the appointment without rescheduling.

Rescheduling with at least 24 hours notice: the deposit may be transferred one time to a new agreed date. A second rescheduling requires a new deposit.

Cancellation or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice: a $50 cancellation fee applies. Any deposit already paid will be applied to that fee, so the Client will not be charged twice.

No-show or lockout: if we cannot obtain access after reasonable attempts to contact the Client, the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation and a $50 lockout fee applies. Any deposit already paid will be applied to that fee.

Company cancellation: if we cancel and cannot provide a mutually acceptable replacement date, the deposit will be refunded.

We may waive or adjust a cancellation fee for a documented emergency at our discretion. A waiver on one occasion does not change this policy for future appointments.

5 Payment and Saved Payment Methods

All prices are subject to applicable sales tax. Unless the quote states otherwise, the remaining balance is due when the service is completed. By paying a deposit and accepting these terms, you authorize McDonagh Cleaning LLC and its payment processor, Jobber, to securely save the payment method used and charge it after service for the approved quote balance, applicable taxes, and any add-ons or fees you approved or that are expressly permitted by these terms. This authorization does not permit charges outside the agreed scope or these terms. A receipt will be provided electronically.

For a recurring job set up with automatic payments, you authorize the saved payment method to be charged after each completed visit or according to the billing schedule shown in Jobber. You may revoke authorization for future charges by giving written notice before the next appointment, but you remain responsible for amounts already earned or due. If a payment fails, the balance is due immediately and future service may be paused until the account is current.

6 Recurring Services

Recurring service continues on the agreed schedule until either party ends it. There is no fixed-term commitment unless a written quote states otherwise. You may cancel future visits by phone, email, or text message; the cancellation policy applies to the next scheduled visit. We will notify you of a proposed material change to price, frequency, or scope and obtain approval before charging the changed amount. Holiday schedules, building restrictions, weather, staffing, or other circumstances may require a reasonable scheduling adjustment.

7 Client Provided Supplies and Equipment

Unless the quote states otherwise, the Client supplies the cleaning products and functioning equipment reasonably needed for the requested service, including an appropriate vacuum and mop when applicable. Products must be clearly labeled and suitable for the surfaces being cleaned. You must disclose special care instructions and known product or surface restrictions before service. We may decline to use unlabeled, mixed, leaking, visibly damaged, recalled, or otherwise unsafe products or equipment. We are not responsible for damage caused solely by a defective product, faulty equipment, undisclosed surface condition, or inappropriate product selected by the Client, except to the extent damage results from our negligent use.

8 Client Responsibilities

Before service, the Client must:

Secure cash, jewelry, medications, firearms, important documents, and sentimental or irreplaceable items.

Identify fragile, loose, unstable, valuable, or improperly installed items and disclose pre-existing damage.

Provide accurate information about the property, including size, condition, special requirements, pets, pests, and safety concerns.

Reduce excessive clutter when needed to allow the agreed cleaning to be performed safely and efficiently.

Secure pets when requested and ensure children and other occupants do not interfere with safe performance of the work.

We do not move unusually heavy furniture or appliances or handle items that cannot be moved safely by the assigned cleaning professional unless that work is specifically agreed in writing.

9 Safety and Excluded Conditions

Standard and very soiled home cleaning do not include professional remediation of biohazards or dangerous conditions. We may decline or stop work involving blood or other bodily fluids, needles or sharps, human waste, extensive animal waste, active pest infestations, significant mold, hazardous chemicals, unsafe structural conditions, illegal substances, or any condition requiring specialized licensing, protective equipment, or remediation. We may also stop service immediately if a cleaning professional experiences harassment, discrimination, threats, abusive conduct, or another safety risk. Amounts for work already performed and any applicable cancellation or lockout fee remain due.

10 Pets

Please disclose pets before service and secure any pet that may be anxious, territorial, aggressive, or likely to escape. We are not responsible for a pet escaping when the Client has not provided or followed reasonable securing instructions. If a pet prevents safe service, we may leave the property and treat the appointment as a late cancellation. Service animals will be accommodated as required by applicable law.

11 Quality and Satisfaction

If you believe an area within the agreed scope was missed or not cleaned satisfactorily, contact us within 24 hours after service and provide reasonable details or photographs when appropriate. We will review the concern and, when warranted, arrange a reasonable opportunity to re-clean the affected area. Our usual remedy is a return visit rather than a refund. This policy does not cover areas outside the approved scope, permanent stains, damage, deterioration, or results limited by unsafe or unsuitable client-provided products or equipment.

12 Damage and Liability

McDonagh Cleaning LLC maintains general liability insurance. Any claimed damage or breakage should be reported within 24 hours after service so the condition can be documented and investigated promptly. Insurance coverage is subject to the facts of the incident and the terms of the applicable policy and is not guaranteed for every claim. We are not responsible for normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, unstable or improperly installed items, ordinary deterioration, or damage caused solely by defective or inappropriate client-provided products or equipment. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13 Photographs

We may take limited before-and-after photographs to document property conditions, verify completed work, support quality control, or resolve a dispute. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid capturing people, personal documents, security information, or other identifying details. Photographs will not be used for advertising, social media, or other promotional purposes without the Client's separate express permission.

14 Communications and Text Messaging

By providing a mobile number and consenting to receive text messages, you agree to receive transactional messages from McDonagh Cleaning LLC concerning requests, quotes, appointments, service updates, payment reminders, invoices, and customer support. Marketing messages will be sent only with any consent required by law. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages or HELP for assistance, or contact us using the information below. Consent to marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing services. Opting out of texts does not cancel an existing appointment; you must contact us directly to cancel or reschedule. Our Privacy Policy is available at https://mcdonaghcleaning.com/privacy-policy.

15 Privacy and Service Providers

We use client information to respond to requests, prepare quotes, schedule and provide services, process payments, communicate with clients, maintain business records, and protect our legal rights. Information may be shared with service providers such as Jobber, payment processors, communications providers, insurers, professional advisers, and cleaning professionals when reasonably necessary for those purposes. Our separate Privacy Policy explains our data practices in more detail.

16 Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service

We may decline, suspend, or discontinue service when property conditions are unsafe, materially different from what was disclosed, outside the agreed scope, or prohibited by law; when required products, equipment, utilities, or access are unavailable; when payment is overdue; or when abusive or threatening conduct occurs. When reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and discuss available options.

17 Changes to These Terms and Governing Law

The version of these Terms and Conditions in effect when a one-time service is booked applies to that job. We may update these terms prospectively by posting a revised version and effective date. For recurring services, we will provide reasonable notice of a material change before it applies to a future visit. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without limiting any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
